People Aren't Cats was formed to protect Tianjin from Matt's unadulterated
music. He had had some discussion with Dagon of the Spot Cafe regarding playing
but had some doubts that either Chinese or expats were ready for 21st century
music. So he invited his roommates and coworkers to join him in making
something more palatable. The project became rather successful and showed every
sign of growing and introducing some interesting ideas couched in a more
approachable sound until Jesus broke up the band.
