What be up peeps? Y'all losin' it? Let's go kill some women and children 'cuz their warlord don't kowtow fast enough? There are several good reasons to get involved there, but about a million not too. But sorry, I digress, this is supposed to be a blog.

I didn't go to bed as early as I'd hoped last night, so I set my alarm for 730. The cats, the thumping radiator of hell and the sun got me up well before that, but I took every minute of rest that I could get up until it said -no more. Then I did the last part of my workout, ate three-fourths of a raspberry bar, shaved, fed Carmella, showered, walked her and headed for the train with Steve. That was slightly unusual, our schedules are hardly ever that in sync. Also unusual was the fact that he went to Sinai with me. Thursdays are my days to go to Sinai, but I've never even seen him there. I know he was hired there though, comme ci, comme ca.

Thursdays are the software build day. So I am at Sinai both to give them some comfort and face time, but to avail myself of their resources if anything goes wrong. A few things went wrong. It's hard to describe, I don't know your level of literacy, but basically some people held me up so I could implement their applications, they didn't really understand how to connect to the database, and I made my usual couple of errors on other apps. Didn't modify both web proxies, didn't delete old files from my backup store, that kind of thing. Such is life on Thursday for the geek. Shimon drove, so when we got out he drove me to get samosas (have you read about my samosas' adventures? Blog on dude!) and even waited to drive me to the train. During this trip Hua and I talked about what it's like to be Chinese. Well, she did. I must admit it didn't give me anymore hope for L. and I. Ah well, she already has someone else, I'll find someone else if I do. Boohoo, life goes on.

The F was pretty full, even catching it on the first Manhattan station (61st and Lex, in caseya dintknow). But I did squeeze into a seat. Had enough room to bring out the iBook even. My iBook is the last of the big ones, so that's no mean feat. Wrote a little, reworked the goals, then wasted the rest of the trip on StarCraft. Home to read some Mogambo Guru and sundry other Daily Reckoners (there's links around, go quest). Pile of crackers, two sandwiches and chips, now I'm nursing a Bass with the Maggot on my lap while I write it up. I shall take Carmella for her evening perambulation when time is short, then go to sleep with HST.

No complaints. Forgot to mention the email I sent L. from work. Wanh wanh. Still, no complaints. What would be the point? And I have it pretty good anyway. No bombs headed my way. Yet; I think...
