Everybody understand why I'm on this side of the planet? E-e-excellent, I'll
stop lecturing. Until next time.
Now let me tell you about chickens, cows and milk. These chickens are
miniature velociraptors. I don't know but that maybe velociraptors were
feathered so I'm not gonna bother with that distinction. I'll tell you what I
do know: if our relative sizes were appropriate I give you a very high
certainty that the behaviors would be identical. Except perhaps the working
together paleontologists theorize velociraptors engaged in. These chickens are
bloodthirsty killers but rarely do I see them cooperate. On the other hand they
do follow each other around so anything's possible.
Thai slang for stupid is 'like a buffalo'. Cows here resemble buffaloes.
I don't think they're particularly stupid, but then I probably am. I've
always like cows. I'll repeat, eating any living thing is a cultural more. I
try not to eat cats and dogs, Hindus don't eat cows. Whatever, Jaines probably
have the best policy. These cows are a little taller and a little thinner than
the ones you're probably used to seeing. But the most remarkable feature is
their ears. Or kites, you might be forgiven for saying. Yeah, they're big. And
very mobile. In my perendurogrenations I enjoy observing the white radar
dishes track me. Cows are generally white. Like their milk, more or less.
Chicken brought home a bag of milk from her cousin last night. Her cousin's
cow that is. I guess she does this often, I just was not involved because I am
somewhat allergic to milk. Or thought I was. I'm out of rice/soy milk at the
moment so I tried this. First cocoa'd last night to see my reaction, then
cereal and coffee this morning when I found it harmless. Milk delivered in a
grocery bag is somewhat different. Milk that is boiled at home (I am now
doubting Pasteur 'invented' anything) is different. Milk that is boiled with an
herb that looks like a giant leek 'so it not stink' is different. I'm not sure
what I'm allergic to but I don't think it's milk. Or the herb nullified it?
But I am also happy to say this stuff didn't have an undertaste of blood like
most Merkin milk. I am unhappy to say that homogenization is great for
aesthetics. This stuff wasn't so pretty. But mai penrai, maybe I drink milk
now.
