Why does it matter? It may well not. If global warming doesn't get us toxic waste may well. Still, I'm going a little nuts for green. Too little too late? I'm thrilled with the netbook anyway, I think XO is almost adequate and I eagerly await whatever is low power and capable of running music software. A lighter window manager can help that happen sooner. What do you use your computer for? Do you really need the carbon footprint you have? Nihilistic tendencies tell me it doesn't matter. Central American Amphibians are gone, the Polar Bears are going and evidently the bees might be next. When they go we go my friends. Unless we can polinate the millions of plants in our food chains. Too late or not I say let's make an effort. Let's not give the rapturists what they want. I hope the next XO will do it for me, even their case is green. Tangential enough for ya?

But currently it just doesn't, quite. Almost. Switch Sugar to XFCE, get used to a 400 MHz processor, it's adequate. But it isn't stable. I crash the SVOA about once a week. I crash the XO daily.

If it was all I had it would be enough. It isn't. In fact I may cave and buy a windows netbook so I can play my GTA. I'll keep you posted. And I'll link in some of the resources that have made the XO a little more useful. If there's any sign people are actually reading this.
