On Magic
Those of you who know me well by reputation or acquaintanceship
may wonder by now why I do not speak of magic. I will mention rather
quickly in conversation and trust that this is known of me, that magic
is good, magic is life and life is magic. But those of you who know
me best probably do not wonder. Magic is extremely personal to me,
and it has been my experience that sharing my magical thoughts too widely
weakens them, and that participation in any sort of a congregation swiftly
grows stifling, even literally fatal. So I will not speak on the
subject beyond saying that the spark of life is indeed a purely magical
force and that the act of truly living must be a purely magical act.
And if you think you catch me alluding to this in other work you are right.
But if you expect me to come right out and talk about it beyond these few
words, you will be dissapointed.
